One Agency Noosa Legends Pro Am 2020 Results

Noosa Legends Pro Am Results

  • The 2020 PGA Legends Tour travelled up the coast for the $15,000 One Agency Noosa Legends Pro Am played at the Noosa Golf Club
  • After wild storms soften up the course overnight, the 62 professionals were greeted with calm yet humid conditions
  • Setting the pace in the morning field with 3 under par (69) was local Sunshine Coast resident Darren Rix
  • Rix recorded six birdies and three bogeys in his morning round
  • However the winning scores would come from the afternoon players and it was Andre Stoltz, Peter Fowler and Brad Burns sharing victory with a score of five under par (67)
  • Stoltz after becoming eligible for the Legends Tour in May and fresh from his Australian PGA Senior Championship win in early November had 6 birdies and single bogey
  • “Coming off a wrist injury I didn’t expect the results I have both here and in the Australian Seniors but thrilled to know I can still compete at high level” said Stoltz.
  • “The course was outstanding and could not believe how green it was given the recent lack of rain”
  • Fowler is making the most of his time on the PGA Legends Tour in Australia whilst not being able to compete in Europe and had four birdies, an eagle on the par five 16th and single bogey
  • “I am hoping to still get back to Europe next year with the vaccine hopefully soon to be distributed but who knows” said Fowler
  • “If things don’t go to plan sobeit as I am having a great time playing these Legends events so will continue to do so if I cannot get back to Europe”
  • As for the 2019 PGA Legends Order of Merit winner, Burns made it his sixth victory in 2020 with seven birdies two bogeys
  • “I fixed my favorite putter overnight and it paid me back today as I putted great” said Burns.
  • “Credit to the team here at Noosa as the course was great and the whole event was run really well”
  • In fourth place and only a single shot back was resident PGA Professional Shane Healey with a four under par (68)
  • In a rare appearance playing a PGA Legends event, Healey provided the highlight of the day with ‘Hole in One’ on the 130m par three 12th hole
