The Match and Greens Committee had hoped to bring the 17th hole back into play for the resumption of the regular competition programme on Saturday 27th June. Following the wet weather last weekend, the Course Superintendent has asked that the hole be kept closed for a further week to give the new growth more time to become established before it is subjected to heavy foot traffic. Therefore the 17th hole will now be brought back into play on Saturday 4th July.

The Committee would like to thank all members for their ongoing efforts to preserve the course by not driving through the muddy areas on the fairways and filling their own and other’s divots .

The Committee would also like to thank Club Captain, Bob Upham, for maintaining a programme of competitions through the most difficult of times, and for coming in daily to close those competitions.

Please remember that although the regular competition programme has resumed, social distancing requirements are still in place throughout the Club.
